Vinicius Jr Breaks Silence After Ballon d’Or Snub

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr has issued a defiant pledge on social media following his narrow loss to Manchester City’s Rodri for the Ballon d’Or.

Vinicius Jr posted on X, “I’ll do it 10x if I have to. They’re not ready,” sparking widespread support from fans and teammates. The Brazilian forward had been tipped to claim his first Ballon d’Or award, but ultimately finished second.

Real Madrid had initially planned to attend the ceremony in Paris but boycotted upon learning of Rodri’s triumph. Head coach Carlo Ancelotti joined Vinicius Jr and other players in skipping the event.

Eduardo Camavinga has since expressed passionate support for Vinicius Jr, who will aim to send a strong message to voters when Real Madrid faces Valencia on Saturday.

The fallout from the controversial ceremony continues, with all eyes on Vinicius Jr’s response.

Real Madrid’s match against Valencia kicks off on November 2, while Manchester City take on Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on October 30.
